Statin-Associated Type 2 Diabetes: Who Gets It? Why? How Great is the Risk?

Although development of Type 2 diabetes increases in association with statin usage, the risk is relatively modest. Persons at greatest risk can be identified by simple means and the benefits of statin treatment far outweigh the down side of the increased risk of diabetes.
